If you're looking for a brand new J Series wire harness without the issues often accompanying 20 year old, grot-infested OEM wire harnesses obtained from salvage yards with damaged/missing connectors, wiring with damaged insulation and enough corrosion to make the thing the new poster child for electrolysis awareness, and (potentially) modified with questionable (at best) methods, then search no further.
Made from high quality cross-linked TXL wire (meeting Ford, Chrysler, and SAE specs), having new genuine connector kits from the very manufacturers Honda uses, wrapped with the same fabric tape as used by Mercedes, BMW, and others, and including labels for the engine harness connectors, this harness will prove to be an indispensable component to your J Series Swap.
A conversion harness is included with the main engine harness, and an FRB is included with universal style engine harness builds and has leads labelled for wiring up to individual chassis components such as fans, fuel pump, starter, ect.
NOTES:
- Compatible with Coil-On-Plug engines ONLY.
- Universal chassis option is primarily intended for harnesses which will be used in buggies, sand rails, and such swaps not readily supported with plug-and-play adapters. An FRB (Fused Relay Box) is included with this style of harness build.
- Tachometer and Speedometer converter (such as the Dakota Digital SGI-100BT) is required for all Honda swap applications and may be required in others.
- These harnesses are set up only to work with 1st Gen J Series engines using VR sensors, stock auto ECUs, and manual J series transmissions. "True Manual" Harnesses can be built as a custom order, but contact us about those PRIOR to placing an order.
- Be advised: If using a stock auto style ECU, it is recommended to use one from a 99 TL, 99-00 Odyssey, 00-03 TL, or 02-04 Odyssey. 00-02 Accord ECU can also be used, but may cause issues with larger displacement engines, such as running lean, etc. A tachometer/speedometer interface unit, such as the Dakota Digital SGI-100BT, is required for the tachometer and speedometer to function in Honda chassis and may be required in others. Also, get the immobilizer bypassed.
- Most swapped chassis will have check engine light illumination for auto transmission related codes if using a stock auto ECU, but this will not effect VTEC engagement or cause limp mode.
- If you would like to use a standalone ECU other than the options listed on this page, any upgraded components (such as fuel injectors, etc.), or sensors (such as flex fuel, oil pressure, etc.), please contact us via email PRIOR to placing an order.
Wire Harness Return/Cancellation Policy
For all in-stock wire harnesses, there is a 30% restocking fee for all returns.
However, we will accept cancellations PRIOR to shipping without a restocking fee.
Once an item has been shipped, it CANNOT be cancelled for any reason.
For custom items, there are absolutely no cancellations, no returns, and no refunds. No exceptions.
